The Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Arab Emirates, Aleksandar Dragičević, visited the Bosnian exhibitors at the world's largest food and hospitality fair "Gulfood", which is being held from February 8 to 12 in Dubai.
Exhibitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are participating in the fair in Dubai for the first time, were presented by the company Balkan Trading based in Dubai.
At the Bosnia and Herzegovina stand, located in the Za'abeel exhibition pavilion, a wide range of quality products and brands are represented by the companies Ovako, AS grupa, Sava Semberija, Klas, Voćar, Hepok and Heljda - Eko.
Ambassador Dragičević was informed during the conversation with the exhibitors from BiH that a large number of businessmen visited the BiH exhibition space and that great interest was expressed in the products of our companies.
Dragičević assessed that participation in this prestigious economic event and the successful promotion of food products and services represent an entry into a significant market that can be a permanent partner for BiH companies, with real chances for investing in the field of agriculture and food production in BiH, as well as establishing a business partnerships with business entities from the UAE and the wider region.
Ambassador Dragičević emphasized that BiH businessmen will have the full support of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in establishing contacts and business meetings with interested companies from the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, and proposed some concrete steps in that direction.
The World Food and Catering Fair "Gulfood" gathers the most famous exhibitors from all over the world every year, with the aim of presenting products and services and concluding contracts on the sale of food products and the provision of services on the market of the UAE, the Middle East and North Africa, the Office for public relations of the MFA BiH.
According to Zlatko Kartal, the performance of "Balkan Trading FZE", owned by Bosnians, can be considered very successful because it attracted a large number of visitors.
"Until now, our promotions at the fair have been visited by numerous businessmen and dignitaries, including the sheikh, and we have also had visits by numerous diplomats, including our ambassador Aleksandar Dragičević and consul general Satko Bitanga. This is the first time we are promoting Bosnian products at this fair and for now we are very satisfied with the work done, and our partners from BiH companies will best say how important it is to appear at this fair," said Feni Zlatko Kartal.
The promotion of products and services from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Middle East is an important business and development factor for the BiH economy, because the business opportunities with this part of the world are really great. This is the first time that BiH products have been presented at this level, and along with quality products, BiH has also been promoted, this time the touristic offer of the national park and the Una river.
