On February 22, representatives of the large Lulu supermarket chain organized and hosted a presentation of Bosnian food products that are marketed in the United Arab Emirates by the company Balkan Trading, in the organization and premises of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Abu Dhabi. The Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Arab Emirates, Aleksandar Dragičević, hosted a business meeting and product presentation of the companies AS Group, Sava Semberija, Voćar, Klas, Vispak, Oaza, Hepok, Apieco and others, which was attended by the leaders of Balkan Trading and Lulu.
During the meeting, Ambassador Dragičević pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina has great potential in the field of food industry and that it offers very high-quality and certified products, and that there is an increasing interest of companies from the UAE and the environment for business cooperation with BiH. The representatives of the Lulu company expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the presented products and were interested in the method of product certification (especially the existence of a Halal certificate) and the characteristics of the BiH market. At the end of the conversation, the representatives of both companies expressed their gratitude to the BiH Embassy in Abu Dhabi for organizing the meeting and the presentation of BiH products.
The presentation and business meeting at the Embassy of BiH followed the visit of Ambassador Dragičević to BiH exhibitors at the world's largest food and hospitality fair "Gulfood", which was held in Dubai at the beginning of the month. On that occasion, Ambassador Dragičević emphasized that BiH businessmen will have the full support of the Embassy of BiH in establishing contacts and business meetings with interested companies from the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and suggested establishing contact with representatives of the Lulu company, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced.
